Our Longing to Return to Africa
And what is happening in Lighthouse of Hope in America

This is a message Ruth wrote years ago that captures our profound longing to return to a land and a people far across the ocean where we left a huge part of our hearts:

Oh beloved Africa, your people are surely our people.
Your homeland is now our homeland.

Your longing for a radical move of God to deliver your kinsmen
is our passionate, innermost longing.

We take you with us in our hearts wherever we go.
Your faces are etched on our very souls.
For you are our Macedonia.

Therefore we will return to you.

Together we will once again witness the wondrous miracle of God
healing the desperations of your people through a
Visitation of His Holy Presence among you.

While we trust God with extreme faith for the resources needed to return to our second homeland, we are bringing the same message to the hurting and lost of our own country that we took to Africa.  It is the message of Love and Unity, and Intimacy with the Father that ignited an unquenchable fire of revival among the people on a remote mountain in Northeastern Uganda. But now we are witnessing that same miraculous restoration of genuine love and unity to God's children and remarkable return to intimate worship during our gatherings here in America. People are so deeply affected that they often say while overcome with awe: “This is what it must have been like in the Book of Acts and in the early church when there was a Holy Visitation of the Lord and an Awakening to Lost Truths.”

What we are seeing is also the same Visitation of the Glory of God that we watched explode among the most troubled, violent tribes of Africa. Even children, and young people in their twenties who are aching for a genuine encounter with God are being profoundly impacted. In fact, all of us who are experiencing these encounters are keenly aware that what is occurring is going to affect us for the rest of our lives.
